A coworker once said, “I feel like we get more done walking back from the meeting than in the meeting.”The hallway conversation is a very difficult habit for most engineers to break. You may be remote, but you can’t ask people in the office not to talk to each other. What you can do is insist that they include you in important decisions. Don’t be afraid that you are missing out because of hallway conversations. As long as your team keeps you updated it doesn’t matter where they talk.
